Jackson Stevenson Joins Tommies for 26-27 Season
Fredericton, NB—The St. Thomas University Tommies Men’s Volleyball program is pleased to announce the commitment of Jackson Stevenson of Calgary, Alberta, for the upcoming season.
Standing at 6’7”, Stevenson joins the Tommies from Canada West U18, bringing a strong physical presence along with a calm, composed approach to the game. He will enroll in the Business and Social Entrepreneurship program.
He brings a steady presence on the court and confidence in key moments. He’s a player who doesn’t shy away from pressure. Off the court, he brings a positive, team-first mindset and a consistent energy that helps elevate those around him.
His decision to join STU was driven by the program’s culture and sense of community.
“I really liked the culture they are building and the direction of the program. It felt like the best place for me to grow as a player and as a person,” said Stevenson.
As he transitions to the university level, Stevenson is focused on continuing his development while contributing to the team environment in any way he can. Long term, he aims to make a meaningful impact within the program and help the Tommies compete at a high level.
Head Coach Henri Mallet is excited to welcome Stevenson to the program.
“Jackson is a high-upside athlete with a great physical profile and a calm, competitive presence. What stood out right away was his composure and his genuine commitment to team culture. He’s the type of player who elevates the people around him, and we’re excited to help him continue to develop within our environment.”
Stevenson’s addition strengthens a Tommies roster that continues to build toward sustained success at both the conference and national levels.
