Bridget Frazee, a 3rd year guard for the women’s basketball team from Sussex, NB, is January’s Coastal Graphics Athlete of the Month.
Frazee averaged 18.5 points per game while leading the Tommies to a 5-1 record in the month, and #8 in the CCAA rankings. To go along with her point scoring, which has her sitting second in the ACAA in points per game with 15.9, she averaged 3 rebounds and 2.7 steals per game all while shooting 35% from three-point range and 46.5% from the field.
In a matchup against Holland College on January 19th Frazee scored the most points in a single game during head coach Fred Connors 17 years of coaching the team, with 28. The following week Frazee broke that mark with 29 points for the Tommies.
“Bridget’s play this past month is a culmination of her drive and work ethic off the court as well as on it,” said Connors. “She was always a tremendous shooter, but now she is scoring in multiple ways, passing the ball with certainty and defending with purpose. She is getting recognition because of her offence, but her overall game has made a large leap this year.”
